Add to Outlook

Any non-recurring event can be added to your personal Outlook calendar as an appointment. This feature is supported for Outlook 2003 and 2007 clients only.

To add an event to Outlook from the Calendar portlet or the Calendar application view:

  1. Right-click on the event.

  2. From the context menu, select Add to Outlook.

  3. A file download box appears. Choose to open the file in Outlook.
    A new Outlook appointment with the same date and time as the Oracle WebCenter Collaboration event appears. The subject of the appointment is the name of the event in Oracle WebCenter Collaboration. The description and location of the appointment are the description and location of the event in Oracle WebCenter Collaboration.

  4. If necessary, edit the details of the appointment. Save the appointment in Outlook.

To add an event to Outlook from the Event Details dialog box:

  1. Click an event in the Calendar portlet or the Calendar application view.

  2. In the Event Details dialog box, click Add to Outlook.

  3. A file download box appears. Choose to open the file in Outlook.
    A new Outlook appointment with the same date and time as the Oracle WebCenter Collaboration event appears. The subject of the appointment is the name of the event in Oracle WebCenter Collaboration. The description and location of the appointment are the description and location of the event in Oracle WebCenter Collaboration.

  4. If necessary, edit the details of the appointment. Save the appointment in Outlook.
