Navigating the Explorers

The Project Explorer, Project Recycle Bin, and the Tasks, Documents, Discussions, Wiki, and Blog tabs in the Oracle WebCenter Collaboration application view are divided into three panes: the navigation pane on the left, the table pane on the right, and the details pane on the lower right. The table pane contains objects that belong to the node that you selected in the navigation pane.

Navigation Pane

The navigation pane in the Tasks, Documents, Discussions, Wiki, and Blog Explorers contain a navigation tree with a list of folders, task lists, or discussions. The navigation pane in the Recycle Bin Explorer contains a navigation tree with a list of tasks, documents and discussions (wikis and blogs are not moved to the recycle bin when deleted). To view the contents of the navigation tree on the table pane, click on the root node in the navigation tree. The root node is a folder () in Project Explorer and in the Documents Explorer, a task list () in the Tasks Explorer, a discussion () in the Discussions Explorer, a wiki () in the Wiki Explore, a blog () in the Blog Explorer, and a recycle bin () in the Recycle Bin Explorer.

Table Pane

The table pane displays all objects contained in a node in the navigation tree. You can view detailed information about the items in the table pane by selecting the check box next to the item. Detailed information appears on the details pane below.

Details Pane

The details pane provides details and descriptions (if provided) of items selected in the table pane. In the application view explorers, you can also perform various actions, such as notifying others about the document you uploaded or subscribing to a discussion.
