Custom Properties
Available when your administrator
has enabled custom properties.
Project leaders can define project-wide properties that exist for all
documents in a project. Additionally, a project-wide property can be designated
as required for publishing to the Knowledge Directory. Users will be asked
to specify a value for required properties before publishing a document.
Oracle WebCenter Collaboration content crawlers will not import documents
with required properties that have no value.
For more information on custom properties, see About
Custom Properties.
To define a project-wide property:
Click
Add Property.
Select a property from the drop-down list under
Name.
Type a default value for the property under Default Value.
Select Required
for Publish if this property must have a value for a document to
be published to the Knowledge Directory.
To remove a custom property from the list of project-wide properties:
Select the property.
Click
Remove.
The property will be removed from existing documents if the property still
has its default value. If the property does not have its default value,
the property will not be automatically removed but users can choose to
remove the property from their documents.
