Working with Wiki Pages

A wiki page contains content that can be added or updated by project users. Page versions keep prior content saved when new content is added.

Creating a New Wiki Page

To create a wiki page:

From the application view, click the Wiki tab.
Click New.
In the Wiki Page Editor, type a name for the page, and create and format the content for the page. For more information, see Wiki Page Editor.
Click Finish.

Note: Wiki pages inherit the security of the project. For more information on permission levels, see the Permission Matrix.

Editing an Existing Wiki Page

To edit a wiki page:

From the application view, click the Wiki tab.
Select a wiki page in the navigation tree or the table pane and click Edit.
In the Wiki Page Editor, edit the page name or content for the page. For more information, see Wiki Page Editor.
Click Finish.

Note: Edit the name of a wiki page will not create a new version in the history.

Attaching a Discussion or Document to a Wiki Page

To attach a discussion or document to a wiki page:

From the application view, click the Wiki tab.
Select a wiki page in the navigation tree or the table pane and click Attach Discussion or Attach Documents.
Select the discussion or document you want to attach.
Click Finish.

Note: Attaching a discussion or a document to a wiki page will not create a new version in the history.

Reverting a Wiki Page to a Previous Version

To revert a wiki page to a previous version:

From the application view, click the Wiki tab.
Select a wiki page in the navigation tree or the table pane and click View Versions.
In the Wiki Page Versions dialog box, click to the right of the version to which you want to revert.
Click Close.

Note: Reverting a wiki page to a previous version will create a new version in the history.

Deleting a Wiki Page

To delete a wiki page:

Note: When you delete a wiki page, it is deleted permanently. It is not placed in the project recycle bin.
