Project templates are useful for quickly creating multiple projects with similar characteristics or projects that closely or completely resemble an existing project. Users with the Manage Collaboration Projects activity right can create and manage project templates.

Note: Task status data is neither copied over into projects that are created from project templates, nor into project templates that are created from projects.
