A notification event is an event that triggers the system to send a notification email and, if your administrator has enabled RSS feeds, update the corresponding RSS feed. This topic discusses specific notification events that are related to subscriptions (Oracle WebCenter Collaboration sends other notification emails that are not directly related to subscriptions, such as to users who have overdue tasks or moderators of documents or discussions). When you are subscribed to an Oracle WebCenter Collaboration object and a notification event occurs on that object, the system sends you a notification email informing you about the event. When you are subscribed to the RSS feed for an Oracle WebCenter Collaboration object and a notification event occurs on that object, your personal RSS feed is updated with the notification event.
